As part of the pollinator conservation program, we would like anyone interested in participating in a bee survey to contact me (natalia.bjorklund@unl.edu).  We would love to have participants from all over the state to get a clear understanding of the bees diversity in our great state!

Bees will be collected via pan traps - essentially colored plastic bowls filled with water and a touch of Dawn liquid soap.  Bees are attracted to the colors, and are trapped in the water.  Further protocol for trapping will be covered in trainings done at various sites in Nebraska.
Hi everyone!  Welcome to the new blog, Bees of Nebraska!

I am trying to get a statewide pollinator conservation program up and running, and this blog is part of that endeavor.  New posts will follow in the coming days.
